Under the direction of the Trust’s Information and Governance Leader, the Governance Administrator/Clerk will provide clerking and organisational support to School Community Boards (committees of the Board of Trustees) at Tarka Learning Partnership schools.
This will include the preparation and distribution of agendas/minutes, dealing with correspondence and maintaining records. The postholder will advise the local boards on governance legislation and procedural matters.
You can expect two meetings per term for each school you work at, though this may vary at the Heads’ discretion. You will be accountable to the Head and each of the School Community Boards and will work within the broad current legislative framework.
You will ensure the continuity of governing body business and observe confidentiality requirements. You will be allocated 50 hours per school you work at, per year. There are up to 450 hours available, depending on the number of schools you have availability to work at.
At all times, the post holder will be expected to work collaboratively with relevant colleagues to fulfil the requirements of the role and contribute positively to the effective running of the governance administrative function within the schools.
Some School Community Board meetings take place at the school in the afternoon and others in the evenings, depending on which schools you work at.
Role is a hybrid working role. The post holder is expected to work from their home and from school sites for School Community Board meetings.
