School Admissions
Admissions policy for 2026-27: Annual Consultation
Along with all other schools and academies in Devon, we are consulting on an admission policy for 2026-27. The Local Authority is also consulting on its admission arrangements. You are invited to look at the proposal new policies which are based on policies for this year and next year and to have your say on them.
Each school’s proposed policy is on their admission page or you can see all policies at http://devon.cc/schoolpolicy Further information is here: www.devon.gov.uk/admissionarrangements
The consultation runs until 10 January 2025. Policies will be determined by the end of February and published in the same places by 15 March next year. You can comment at schoolsadmissionpolicy-mailbox@devon.gov.uk or by emailing the school.
__________
Tarka Learning Partnership is the admission authority for the schools within the Trust. It has responsibility for the admissions policies and decisions on applications for admission.
Each school has an admissions policy for each academic year and they will be published on this page and on school websites when they are proposed for consultation and after they have been determined annually. They are written to comply with the School Admissions Code 2021 and School Admissions Appeals Code 2022.
If you are interested in your child joining a TLP school, please contact the school to discuss what they have to offer and arrange a visit if you can (see school pages for school contact details). Once you decide you would like a place you must make a formal application.

Admissions arrangements
Please see our parent privacy notice and student privacy notice published on our privacy notices page.
Please refer to the individual schools’ websites (which can be navigated via the logos below).
Most children join our schools at the normal round (the main intake into primary school from the start of September in Reception and for secondary the start of September in Year 7). As a parent, you can apply for a place to the Local Authority.
There are different options for parents of children starting school in Reception. This includes part-time education and deferring or delaying admission until later in the Reception year or, for children with birthdays in the summer term, to the following September. Please talk the school if you are interested in a place in a different year group for any reason.
For questions about your child joining a Tarka Learning Partnership school or just about the admissions process in general, please don’t hesitate to contact the school direct or contact Devon School Admissions Service on 0345 155 1019 or by email to admissions@devon.gov.uk Devon publishes guides to the admissions process: the Step by Step Guide and the In-Year Guide at http://devon.cc/prospectus
