Sticklepath Community Primary Academy
“At Sticklepath Community Primary Academy we believe – truly believe – that every child can succeed and excel through hard work, perseverance and commitment. We are passionate about learning, and design the most exciting, relevant and academically challenging learning experiences that enable children to think deeply about the world and their place within it. Our children and staff value the chances to reflect, practise, question and challenge one another and themselves on a daily basis. Our children know that, when they in the ‘Learning Pit’ and really struggling, this is when their brains are making new connections and true learning is happening.
We are passionate about the creative arts, using specialists in art, drama and music to weave new opportunities for our children and open up doors to exciting worlds. Our award winning school grounds allow our committed Forest Schools team to further develop a true sense of adventure and risk taking intertwined within the rich curriculum that Sticklepath offers.
Being part of Tarka Learning Partnership has allowed us to forge even closer links in our North Devon locality with our primary and secondary colleagues to develop smoother transitions, raise aspirations, achieve better outcomes for our children and provide greater opportunities and professional development for our staff. We are still at the start of this partnership but are excited about the potential and possibilities that lie ahead.”
