Benefits

We know that, to achieve our vision, it is our people who will make the big difference.

In order to attract the strongest, creative and committed talent, we offer a competitive reward and benefits package.

Competitive salaries

We offer competitive salaries for both teaching and non-teaching staff based on the type and level of role that you do.  Pay ranges are reviewed annually with our recognised unions.

National Terms and Conditions

The Tarka Learning Partnership is committed to offering national terms and conditions in line with the School Teacher’s Pay and Conditions document (“STPCD”), or the NJC National Agreement on Pay and Conditions for support staff.

Pension Scheme

All contracted members of staff will be automatically enrolled in to a career-average pension scheme with either the Teachers’ Pension Scheme or the Local Government Pension Scheme whichever is appropriate.

You don’t pay tax or national insurance on your pension contributions and Tarka Learning Partnership adds a generous contribution too.  All staff are entitled to opt out of the pension scheme if they wish to do so, but will be re-enrolled on key dates to comply with auto enrolment legislation.

Holiday

We recognise the importance of a good work life balance and provide generous holiday entitlements.  This entitlement is in addition to any Bank or Public holidays.  If you work part-time, your holiday will be pro-rated.  Teaching staff receive the standard school holiday allowance.

Flexible and Family Friendly Policies

We understand that our employment policies need to be flexible and responsive in order to promote diversity and equality, and to attract and retain the highest quality workforce.  We offer flexible working opportunities; job share arrangements and part-time roles; generous family leave packages; and leave to support you with emergencies or for compassionate reasons.

Wellbeing

The wellbeing of the staff team is of vital importance for us. We have the Mindful Employer charter and we offer all of our staff a full Employee Assistance Programme through Health Assured.  All employees also have the opportunity to access Occupational Health support when they want or need to as we know the importance of good physical and mental health.
